EC gave green signal to Prajarajyam

The Election Commission on Thursday gave green signal to allot the name of Prajarajyam to the regional party founded by Chiranjeevi. According to EC sources, a notification to this effect would soon be issued and the symbol would be allotted at the time of elections.
The registration of the party got delayed as an advocate from Kadapa district had applied for registration of a party by the same name. But, later, he withdrew his application at the behest of Chiranjeevi . The commission, after hearing the arguments of the representatives of Prajarajyam said that it had no objection in registering the name of the party as a state party. Chiranjeevi's aide Dr P Vinay kumar met the commission officials on Thursday.
